About Me !

  • etc.

My Pictures

Because our lives are so busy, noisy and stretched, we can feel stressed, lost and overwhelmed. Remain proactive and feel peace instead of falling to pieces.
Remember this ...

  • Someone can love you, but YOU must make yourself happy.
  • Someone can teach you, but you must apply what you learn.
  • Someone can coach you, but you must get up and in the game of life.
  • Someone can give you an opportunity, but you must be capable and prepared.
  • Someone can tempt you, but you must learn discipline.
  • Someone can offer you advice, but you must learn to trust your own inner knowing.
  • Someone else can withhold, but you must learn to give.
  • Someone can pity you, but you must bear your own sorrow. If you are the one always giving, you must learn how to receive.
  • Someone can leave you, but you must learn to feel whole.
  • Someone can set you up or put you down, but you must still do the right thing.
  • Someone can knock you down, but you must get back up.
  • Someone can ignore you, but you must see your own value and worth.
  • Someone can help you, but you must learn to do for self.
  • Someone can hold a grudge, but you must learn how to forgive and move on.
  • Someone can show you a new way, but you must want the change.
  • Someone can love you, but you must feel worthy of receiving love.
  • Someone can encourage you, but you must motivate yourself.

Hi Tyler and your team,

Thanks for this Wonderful and Inspiring movie. It was a tremendous moment for me.

I was deeply touched by one message:

Forgiving yourself and your ex relationships helps you start a better new one. If you don't do that, you will never be able to appreciate the new one and believe in yourself.

If you haven't seen this movie yet, I definitively recommend you watch it with your partners, friends or family.

PS : I'm looking forward to buying the DVD.

God Bless You.

Hey Everybody!

Okay, I'm all better now...(smile). I had to take a minute to get myself together.

Sorry I haven't talked to you about this number one thing, but thank you so much. Thank you! You did it! All I can say is thank God for favor.

I know that this is my best movie. I love it...I really do. So, if you haven't seen WHY DID I GET MARRIED? then you should try and get to the theater to see it. There is nothing like seeing it on the big screen with someone you care about. This movie is powerful. And to all of you that saw it, didn't I tell you, didn't I tell you?!! And that dinner scene....BOOM!
I have seen it at least ten times and I'm not tired of it yet. I'm going back this weekend. I loved seeing you guys watch it.

You know what I'd like to know? Let me say this and I'll let you go. I'd like to read some messages on how this movie, MARRIED, touched you personally. A lot of you have left messages on the message board, but I'd like to see it broken out from the rest of the messages.  So this time when you choose your topic (before posting in the message board) please choose, "MARRIED touch me by..." and then you fill in the rest, okay?

By the way, I'm sorry for that last email about the interview on the Sacramento TV station. I mean for the way that it started out. I try not to bring you any negativity in these emails, but I needed to vent to
someone who would understand my plight.   I mean I took a beating on that
press tour. But the more they tried to get me down the more you all had my back. WOW!!! So much so that not only did millions of you pile into those 2,000 screens last weekend but after you all saw that interview that Janet and I did; you started an email campaign that ended in this man going on air and giving an apology.  He got so many emails that it crashed the computer system at the TV station. The other employees couldn't get emails from what I understand.

You can check out the apology on video by going to this link:

OOOOOHHH  SEEE WHAATT YOUUU DIDDD!!!! I'm MO TELL'

I'll talk to you soon, lets have another great weekend at the movies!

I'll see you there… SMILE!!!

Tyler

Hey there!

I woke up this morning knowing that I needed to send this email to you to let you know that WHY DID I GET MARRIED? opens this Friday.

I know that I needed to tell you to please check your ticket stubs to make sure that they say WHY DID I GET MARRIED? And I needed to say, "Please go this weekend, the first weekend is very important!" I know that I needed to ask you to please not buy this movie on bootleg, but to see it in the theaters. I know that I needed to send this email to stress all of this, but I also felt so compelled this morning to talk to you about something else.

Yesterday a reporter asked me a question.  He said, "With all that is happening to you now--when you were growing up in New Orleans did you ever imagine that you would be in this position?"

I told him, "Yes, I did imagine!"

He was shocked. He said, "You don't think that's a little arrogant?"

I told him this--and I want to share it with you because the way he looked at me I know that he won't print it.

I said, "I had to imagine myself in a better place.  Sometimes the nights got so cold and the days so hard and long that if I wouldn't have then I wouldn't have made it."

The Bible says that you should speak things that are not as though they were, and that you must cast down imaginations and everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.  It also says that the power of life and death is in the tongue. So, you can speak life or you can speak death.

I chose to speak life into my situation. I chose to use my imagination to take me higher. Not just in this life but higher in Christ.

I want to ask you some questions today. And this is mainly for the people that are going through right now. When you think about your tomorrow are good things waiting for you? When you imagine your future are you happy and blessed?  Is your family happy? Are you in a better place than you are now? If you don't see good things in your future then nothing good will come your way. You must think good about you so that it can come to you.

So, start seeing yourself in a better place. I promise you that it works.

It worked for me and it can work for you.

And just a side note, when you start to dream and see yourself in a better place, don't share it with everybody. Long ago I stopped telling people my dreams because I would always run into dream stealers--people who are so miserable and so mad at the world that all they can do is bring you bitter words of hopelessness. Stay away from these people!  They are poison.  I had a few people in my life like that. I had to get rid of them--and some of them were family members.

It's time to come out of it. And it starts in your mind. If God can bring me out of poverty and despair and place me right in the middle of the life that I've always dreamed of then He can do it for anyone…if you believe.

As you head to the movies this weekend my prayer is that you begin to live in the place that God has prepared for you. Use your imagination. It is a glorious tool. See yourself doing better and it shall come to pass. It has no choice.  Remember, as a man (or woman) thinketh so is he (she).  In other words what "you" think of "you" becomes who "you" are.

So, what are "you" thinking of "you" today?

Be blessed,

Tyler Perry

P.S. I'll see you at the movies.

Hey there,

Just a quick note here. Janet Jackson, Jill Scott and myself will be on
Oprah on Wednesday, Oct 3rd.  So, if you're home you should try and catch
it. It's going to be a fun show. I am so excited because we are only 11
days away from the nationwide release of THE BEST MOVIE I'VE EVER DONE!!!!
 I'm telling you.

WHY DID I GET MARRIED? OPENS FRIDAY OCTOBER 12th.

I know that you will think that this is the best movie I have ever
done--better than DIARY, better that FAMILY REUNION, better than DADDY's
LITTLE GIRLS. I'm telling you. And listen, if enough of you don't agree
that WHY DID I GET MARRIED? is my best movie yet (after you see it) then I
will go back and get Little Judah and raise her 'till death do us
part....LOL

Let me just say thank you to all of the Singles Ministries and Couples
Ministries that have already bought theaters across the country to see
this movie. I'm telling you--once you see it, it is going to change
relationships. It is that powerful! If you don't believe me then read some
of the messages on the message board from the few people who have been
able to get into some of the advance screenings.

Now, as you all know, with every movie that I've done I have always asked
you all to be the first ones to see it.  It has been you, my board members
(that's my name for the people who are on the mailing list and faithfully
leave messages on the message board) who tell me the truth. One of the
reasons that I always ask you all to see the movies first is because you
all will give me the real deal. It is no secret that the critics have
hated everything that I have ever done. But that's okay…as long as you
love it. So, when they start to critize and try to make me feel bad about
this movie I will be looking to you for some words of encouragement, okay?

So, what I asked the theaters to do is set up an advance group sales line
just for you. You should be able to call this number and buy group
tickets. If you are in a senior group, sorority, fraternity, book club,
choir, singles ministries, couples ministries, or usher board number 3
(smile), you can call and get advanced seats for your group at this number
1-877-409-3446 and then please go to the board and let me know what groups
you will be bringing and who they are if you can. I'd like to know.

So, go ahead and call if you can and get your advanced seats. I want my
folks in there first starting early Friday afternoon, so that we can blow
that first weekend out and send a clear message to all the critics and to
Hollywood letting them know that we want more movies like this.

I see that my seniors are talking to me now. And ya'll are funny. I'm just
glad to know that you're still with me.

I'll try to write soon, but the next two weeks are going to be so crazy
for me.
We'll catch up.

Be blessed

Tyler Perry

"Everyone gets out and supports Tyler Perry's new movie "WHY DID I GET MARRIED" out in theaters OCTOBER 12!
They are only trying to play it in 1500 to 2000 theaters NATIONWIDE even though Tyler has proved time and time again that he can TOP the Box Offices with his movies, even though they are not widely shown.
Crash the theaters the first weekend. The more we support the more they are libel to open his movies in more theaters!"
